Fold Class – origami bookmark

October 27, 2007

These photos are not the best, but they will have to do (at least for now).  I learned how to make these from a printed pattern that all you did was print them out, cut them out, fold and voila you were done.  To use Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, start by using your acrylic grid to find the center of the square.  Fold three of the points in to the center.  With the "flap" to your right, fold the lower left-hand corner up to meet the edge of the upper right-hand corner and the flap.  Fold the upper left-hand corner over and down to meet the edge of the lower right-hand corner and the flap.  Tuck the flap in and enjoy your bookmark.    There are many web sites now with instructions, tutorials and videos.  Some are exactly the same and some differ from what I taught at the class.

Fold Class – Adirondak Chair Card

October 27, 2007

I have had this pattern soooooo long, I do not have the name of the person who shared it with me and I can not find one online or in a jpg or pdf file that I can share.  All class participants received a copy with their class supplies.  Remember to use a craft knife to cut the arm and top of leg before you fold it up.  The designer series paper is optional.  Wouldn’t this make an awesome BBQ invitation????

RLMC Scrapbook Border Class

October 15, 2007

I am having trouble getting someone to save the Excel spreadsheet into a pdf format.  I am posting three separate spreadsheet files with this post.  If I can get the pdf format available in the future, I will re-post.  The first file contains the cutting dimensions for both the Bashful Blue and Pretty In Pink textured card stock.  One file contains the cutting dimensions for the Real Red textured card stock.  The final file contains the cutting dimentions for the Wild Wasabi textured card stock.  You can easily make 30 scrapbook borders from only 1/2 of the Simply Scrappin’ Winter Bright kit.

October Stamp Club Projects

October 15, 2007

Here are the projects from this month’s stamp club:

This card came from a Yahoo group I belong to and the designer did not provide her/his name.  Bummer!

This little "small candy bar" treat holder was CASED from a make-n-take at the Red Lodge Mini Convention.  The original was a Halloween themed treat holder and I switched it up to be winter and/or Christmas.  This one uses Real Red Card Stock, White Stazon ink, red & white gingham ribbon.  The half circle slot is optional.  Run the ribbon from the inside front and back to the outside.  Slide the ribbon down into the treat holder with the candy bar.  Tie a knot and voila you are done!

The next project was from another one of our Red Lodge Mini Convention make-n-takes.  This photo is of the one made in Red Lodge.  The club participants changed theirs up based on the small snowflake stamps I have.  I don’t have the one used for the actual card shown.  I love the layering with Stampin’ Up!s scallop circle punch.
